As first-time parents, we get bombarded with all the products that might or might not help us with our babies. I want to share with you 5 baby products I actually use with Baby K.

You can decide for yourselves what will work for you and your baby.

These are items that we use on a regular basis, if not daily.

Here are 5 baby products we actually use:

Whale Bathtub

We give Baby K a bath every other day with this bathtub. It is so easy to use and she seemed to enjoy herself, kicking the water and holding on to the side of the net.

What we like about this is that as a newborn she can sit in it with our support, and we can slowly adjust and eventually remove the net portion when she can sit in the tub without our help.

It is easy to assemble and came pretty quickly too. There are different colours if you prefer another colour. Check it out here.

Nursing Pillow

We got ours at Toys r’ us, but you can get a similar one at Amazon.

It is similar in terms of design, and the reviews are pretty good.

In the beginning, when she was a newborn, I would use it to breastfeed her.

Now that she’s older, she’s getting taller and is hanging part of her legs off the nursing pillow. I find that she still enjoys being on the pillow when she feeds during the day.

Playmat

Isn’t this playmat/activity gym so cute?

I would put K on the mat a few times every day (if we are not busy). She enjoys hitting and grabbing the pink octopus.

It also has music and lights playing with a switch of a button.

We put the playmat on top of a foam mat for additional cushioning to my hardwood floor.

We would do tummy time on the mat and she first rolled from tummy to back on the playmat. That was one of the most exciting things for me as a first-time parent!

Crib mobile

This mobile can be attached to the side of the crib and also be detached to clip on to your car seat (I would recommend that you clip it on the car roof handle so it’s not in their face due to the size).

I would turn the music on for K while she’s in the crib to entertain her and I quickly used the bathroom in the morning. There is also an option for the mobile to spin and not play the music.

She would stare at the mobile and listen to the music for a while so I have some time to get ready as well (you know, put on some sweatpants).

Swaddle/Sleep Sacks

When Baby K was a newborn, we realized that she would startle herself and wake up. The swaddle helped her not wake herself up every hour.

Also, she looked so cute, just like a cocoon.

Below is the same type of swaddle, but hers was an elephant print.

K is a pretty active baby where she’ll kick her legs and throw her arms around. When she grew in length, she kicked the bottom of the swaddle until there was a hole formed.

The swaddle served its purpose, so we moved on to a sleep sack where her arms and legs can be free.

It looks something like this: (I can’t find the exact one)

The sleep sack has been good so far.
