1. Under $15
In this list, I’m going to share some ideas that are more affordable if you have a limited budget. It’s also fun to come up with ideas and be creative with what you have.
If you are a foodie, you can go on a:
- Dessert Date
- Bubble Tea Date
- Coffee Date
- Appetizer Only Date
- Dollar Menu Date
Depending on where you will be going and what you want to eat or drink, you can definitely do it under $15.
For those who prefer to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home, you can:
- Rent a movie on Google Play or Watch Netflix
- Play a board game (here are some ideas)
- Snuggle together beside the fireplace and talk
- Give each other a masage
- Take a bath (here is a nice bath bomb set)
Being at home does not mean that it is boring or that you are just limited to certain things. You can have lots of fun together watching the snow outside and being warm inside.
If you want to go out and have some fun, you can:
- Go Ice skating (and bring your own skates)
- Have a snowball fight (then make up to each other later)

You can go to a fancier restaurant for lunch or go for dinner with a Valentine’s Day special. Not only that, you can also go for dessert if your budget allows. There are many restaurants who might have a special or discount for couples who are looking to dine out for Valentine’s day.
If you two are homebodies and prefer to stay at home, here are some ideas for you:
- Create an at-home spa for the two of you (here is an idea)
- Make your own pizza at home
- Look up recipes and try baking or cooking something new together
- All of the previous options
If you love watching movies, you can go to the theaters and watch a movie. Afterwards, pick a spot nearby to have a meal before heading home. You can connect with each other on your thoughts about the movie.
If you have kids, pick a time when you can find a babysitter or relative to watch the kids. It’s so nice to be able to get away and spend some time together.
For those who love to get up and go, here are some Valentine’s Day Date Ideas:
- Check out the indoor go kart racing track
- Visit the zoo (It is usually cheaper in the winter, or you can get free tickets to the Toronto zoo)
- Have fun at a nearby amusement park or arcade
- Skiing or skateboarding at a hill close to you
- Take a (baking, cooking, etc) class together

There are so many Valentine’s Day Date ideas, however, the main point is for you to spend some quality time with each other. Connect and talk about your present and future together. It does not matter what budget you have, as long as you have the creativity and time for each other, that is all that matters.
