Singapore is a small country, but an interesting one to visit. Not only they are famous for their cleanliness and the growing amount of competitive companies, it’s also a really nice place to visit. The transportation to get from one place to another is efficient and the weather isn’t bad at all.

I’m not sure how many times I’ve been to Singapore since I was born (since it was so close to Malaysia), but the last time I went was the when I got engaged in 2015. I went with my family and M. We were there to attend a wedding in Indonesia so we travelled also to Malaysia and Singapore since we flew all the way to Asia.

You can see a lot of Singapore if you are there for a week or two, especially if you want to try all the delicious food.

Orchard Road is known for the shopping and also the decorations, depending on when you visit. I’ve heard that they even do fake snow during Christmas time – but don’t quote me for sure. There are many buildings along Orchard Road that you can take a look. Some stores are high end so window shopping is quite nice. If you love to shop or window-shop, Orchard Road is a must for you.

Food Republic, a food court at Orchard Road is amazing. They have a range of delicious food such as Hainanese Chicken Rice and Pan Mee (Flat Noodle) – both my favourite food. They have so many choices, you need time to decide. The portion is adequate, though smaller than North American size. This gives you an opportunity to try different kinds of food. Yay!

Orchard Road also has a free skyline view at ION Sky. Do check to see if their opening hours for the day before you go. It’s a quieter feel than the hustle and bustle of busy Singapore you experience on the street. Do take pictures and tag me at @makingdayscount.
