Here are three places that you must go to experience different aspects of Singapore:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Orchard Road (especially Food Republic)<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Orchard Road is known for the shopping and also the decorations, depending on when you visit. I’ve heard that they even do fake snow during Christmas time – but don’t quote me for sure. There are many buildings along Orchard Road that you can take a look. Some stores are high end so window shopping is quite nice. If you love to shop or window-shop, Orchard Road is a must for you.<\/p>\n
Food Republic, a food court at Orchard Road is amazing. They have a range of delicious food such as Hainanese Chicken Rice and Pan Mee (Flat Noodle) – both my favourite food. They have so many choices, you need time to decide. The portion is adequate, though smaller than North American size. This gives you an opportunity to try different kinds of food. Yay!<\/p>\n
Orchard Road also has a free skyline view at ION Sky. Do check to see if their opening hours for the day before you go. It’s a quieter feel than the hustle and bustle of busy Singapore you experience on the street. Do take pictures and tag me\u00a0at @makingdayscount.<\/b><\/p>\n

Sentosa Island<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Sentosa Island is an amusement park in Singapore (besides Universal Studios Singapore). My family had a lot of fun going on rides and just checking out the place. You need to check out the shows at night. It was different than I remembered the show as a child, so it was good that they change it up once in a while.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\nThey have different types of packages. One of the\u00a0packages<\/a>\u00a0included one day pass in Universal Studios Singapore and one day pass in Sentosa Island. I think we bought the 5 Attractions out of 20 because we wanted to take a slower pace and got there in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
Some of the places we went include Wings of Time (awesome show!), Skyline Luge, and Sentosa 4D Adventure Land: Extreme Log Ride.\u00a0Wings of Time was the night show where the audience sit on benches facing the water. They had incorporated water effects, lighting magic, music, and a pretty interesting storyline. I enjoyed it really much.<\/p>\n
Skyline Luge was a two-part activity. One was riding the Luge down the hill where you can choose the easy-going lane or the adventurous lane. The skyline part was more relaxing where you seat on a sky lift seat while embracing the beautiful views around you. The only problem is that if you are afraid of heights or have loose shoes, be careful. You don’t want to accidentally drop your shoes or sandals in the midst of your ride.<\/p>\n
Extreme Log Ride is fun when you can experience this with friends and family. Not only you enjoy the sudden motions as part of the ride, you can also share the joy and talk about how you feel with each other. That makes it memorable and exciting. They might mention something that you didn’t pay attention to such as when the log was “free-falling” and it makes you appreciate the ride even more.<\/p>\n
If you are interested to stay near Sentosa Island, I highly recommend booking hotels through\u00a0Expedia<\/b>. It makes it convenient to go early and experience the different rides available at Sentosa and Universal Studios.<\/p>\n

Gardens by the Bay<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
This is one of the places I wanted to visit in Singapore, but we didn’t have enough time. This was featured in the Crazy Rich Asians movie.<\/p>\n
Gardens by the Bay is such an interesting place in Singapore.<\/p>\n

There are two parts of Gardens by the Bay. One is the flower domes. There are two conservatories where they planted elaborate flowers in such amazing designs. I can’t even. I heard that the pictures don’t fully describe the beauty of these flower domes. If you are a nature person or even someone who appreciates beauty, check out the Flower Domes in Gardens by the Bay.<\/p>\n
The second part is the outdoor garden. It has these magnificent pillars with greenery all over them. You can check out their website for shows and concerts they hold there. The night light show must be really beautiful. Whether you like shopping, amusement parks, or nature, you can find them all in Singapore.<\/p>\n
